Finally everyone in Nepal.
It has been three long years since our last visit.
Together with our Nepalese friends and volunteers, we managed to continue our activities and remotely follow the many children of the Happy Child project, to guarantee them a good education for a happy future in their country.
There are many activities that we have concluded, together with a group of volunteers and friends, who have accompanied us in our new mission: the Poli family, who participated in the inauguration of the school dedicated to the deceased Ing. Mario Poli and financed by Cartiere Saci Spa of Verona; the friends and colleagues of Anna De Marinis, a historical collaborator of Avventure nel Mondo who died prematurely, who attended the inauguration of the hostel dedicated to her. Thanks to the fundraising organized by AnM among the many friends and coordinators, it was possible to conclude the work of this structure.

Seen from above, the capital of Nepal always arouses great emotion, with a clear sky it is possible to see the still snow-capped peaks of the Himalayas that frame it. Our friends are waiting for us and welcome us with a big hug, stronger than usual, a hug that hides the emotion and fear we have experienced over the years due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Our absence was only physical, we have always been in contact even in the most difficult moments, we must not forget what we have experienced, we have been lucky all the children and our friends are present and we are with them.

A strange feeling envelops us all, as if it were the first time we have arrived in this extraordinary country. How many changes, the renovated airport, new roads, new buildings, the damage from the earthquake of April 25, 2015 almost completely restored, the historic centers of the ancient capitals of the valley almost completely rebuilt.

Once in Happy Home, the emotion of meeting our children takes over. Almost suspended in an unreal immobility, we remain blocked for a few seconds, until they run towards us and bring everyone back to reality.
Lots of hugs, lots of smiles and a big "all right?" shouted in chorus by all the children of Happy Home.

Finally Nepal.
