The long lockdown in Nepal, which has been ongoing for over 5 months, has created many economic problems for the country and its inhabitants, already severely tested by the heavy earthquake of 2015.
Together with the volunteers of Hanuman Onlus Nepal and Co.YOn, we organized an emergency aid, to the families of the children of the Happy Child project, remote support, bringing them a health kit, consisting of surgical masks and antimicrobial gel, and a kit food, with abundant stocks of rice, lentils and other useful foodstuffs for two months.
Before the new total closure imposed by the government, to the traffic of goods between the various districts of Nepal, we were able to deliver a good part of kits to needy families in the Kathmandu valley.
As soon as it is possible to move to the various districts again, we will continue our help to the other 80 families in the districts of Benighat and Ramechhap.
Here are some photos of the delivery by Amresh, Silece and Raju.
